These are some beasts found in the wizard world:

ACROMANTULA: It originated in Borneo, where they are capable of human speech. They look like a huge eight-eyed spider.
ASHWINDER: It is a thin, pale-grey serpent with glowing red eyes. It lives for only an hour while it finds a dark spot to lay its eggs. They are found worldwide.
AUGUREY: Is native to Britain and Ireland, though sometimes found in northern Europe. Their feathers are useless as quills because they repel ink.
BASILISK: Is a bright green serpent. Most people say no one has seen one in Britain for at least four hundred years or is it?
BILLYWIG: It is a native insect to Australia. They are a vivid sapphire blue.
BOWTRUCKLE: They are a tree-guardian creature found mainly in the west of England, sourthern Germany and certain Scandinavian forests.
BUNDIMAN: They are found world wide and are skilled at creeping under floorboards.
CENTAUR: It has a human head, torso and arms joined to a horse's boby which may be any of several colours. They believed they originated in Greece.
CHIMAERA: Is a rare Greek monster with a lion's head, a goat's body, and a dragon's tail.
CHIZPURFLE: Are small parasites up to twentieth of an inch high.
CLABBERT: Is a tree-dwelling creature, something like a cross between a monkey and a frog. It originated in the sourthern states of America, though it has since been exported worldwide.
CRUP: It orginated in the sourtheast of England. It closely resembles a Jack Russell terrier, except for the forked tail.
DEMIGUISE: Is found in the Far East, though only with great difficulty, for this beast is able to make itself invisible when threatened.
DIRICAWL: It originated in Mauritius. A plump-bodied, fluffy-featherd, flightless bird.
DOXY: It is often mistaken for a fairy though it is quite separate species. They are found throughout northern Europe and America.
DRAGON: Probably the most famous of all magical beasts, dragons are amoung the most difficult to hide. See "A Dragon's Kind" to find out more about the different kinds of Dragon's.
DUGBOG: Is a marsh-dwelling creature found in Europe and North and South America. It's favorite food is Mandrake.
ERKLING: Is an elfish creature which originated in the Black Forest in Germany. It is larger than a Gnome.
ERUMPENT: Is a large grey African beast of great power. Weighing up to a tonne.
FAIRY: Is a small decorated beast of little intelligence. They generally inhabit woodlands or glades.
FIRE CRAB: Despite its name, the Fire Crab greatly resembles a large tortoise with a heavily jewelled shell. They are exporteds pets but a special licence is necssary.
FLOBBERWORM: It lives in damp ditches. It is a thick brown worm reaching up to ten inches in length.
FWOOPER: Is an African bird with extremely vivd plumage. They may be orange, pink, lime green or yellow.
GHOUL: It is ugly, though not a particularly dangerous creature. In a wizarding family it often becomes a talking point or even a family pet.
GLUMBUMBLE: Is from northern Europe, and is a grey, furry-bodied flying insect.
GNOME: Is a common garden pest found throughout northern Europe and North America. It may reach a foot in height.
GRAPHORN: It is found in mountainous European regions. Large and greyish purple with a humped back, it has two very long, sharp horns.
GRYFFIN: It oringinated in Greece and has front legs and a head of a giant eagle.
GRINDYLOW: A horned, pale-green water demon, is found in lakes throughout Britain and Ireland.
HIPPOCAMPUS: Originated in Greece, it has the head and forequarters of a horse and the tail and hindquarters of a giant fish.
HIPPOGRIFF: It is native to Europe, though found world wide. It has the head of a giant eagle and the body of a horse.
 
HORKLUMP: It comes from Scandinavia but is now widespread throughout northern Europe. It resembles a fleshy, pinkish mushroom.
IMP: It is only found in Britain and Ireland. It is sometimes confused with a pixie.
JARVEY: Is found only in Britain and Ireland and North America. It resembles an overgrown ferret in most respects.
JOBBERKNOLL: Is from Europe and America. It is a tiny blue, speckled bird which eats small insects.
KAPPA: Is a Japanese water demon that inhabits shallow ponds and rivers.
KELPIE: The British and Irish water demon can take various shapes, though is most often appears as a horse with bulrushes for a mane.
KNARL: Is found in Northern Europe and America. It is usually mistaken for a hedgehog by muggles.
