As there is little wand movement in potion brewing, it is a more complicated magic for most wizards and witchs. In this book, you will find and learn ways to conjor up sleeping draughts, cures for boils, and more useful brews for medicines and protection.

THE DRAUGHT OF LIVING DEATH
There is a sleeping potion that you are about to learn to make that is so powerful, it is known as the " Draught of Living Death". Take a haf-pound of asphodel and leave it in 3 degrees (F) water. Stir quickly for an hour then add 5 ounces of wormwood. Stir gently for 10 minutes only.

BEZOAR:
A bezoar is a stone taken from the stomach of a goat and can cure you from most posions. It is about 70 ounces and an emerald green. Drop it in boiling water for half an hour (thirty minutes). Stir gently for that time.

CURE FOR BOILS:
Take a cauldron full of water and boil it for 5 minutes. Add 30 horned slugs and leave it for 30 seconds. Take off of fire. Stir in 10 pounds of porcupine quills. Mix for 15 minutes then ready.

HYDRUS IMPACT
Hydrus potions, or potions who's main ingredients is water, is the most common of all brews. THE HYDRUS CORPS effects the drinkers body. It causes all body parts to stop functioning for a certain amount of time depending on how you made the brew. The more water, the longer and more occasionally it stops. The most queer thing about this potion, however, is that after a certain amount of minutes the person's body starts back up.
1) Start by boiling 3 liters of salt water (no more than 3 liters, or else the potion will not work) or less, depending on how you want the result to be. Stir continuesly and and quickly for 40 minutes.
2) Add in 4 sootecks, one every 5 minutes. Remember to never stop stiring.
3) When all eagals are in, it should turn a redush colour. When a very dark shade of scarlet, add in quarter a pound of diced sooteck roots, or boldashes.
4) The last step is to slowly stir the liquid until it steams. The slower you stir, the more it will steam.

HYDRUS ILLIMINETAON
Hydrus Illiminetaon causes a person to go invisible.
1) Mix 18 porcupine quills into one gallon of cold water. Let it sit for 7 minutes.
2) Stir for 12 minutes - add in 3 cups of frog spawn every 4 minutes.
3) Boil at a high temperature for one hour until porcupine quills have dissintearated.

FLIGHT AND FLIGHTLESS
This potion makes you take off from the ground.
1) 1 cup of hummingbird feathers
2) 2 quarters of frogs bones
3) 2 teaspoons of bats eyes
4) 1 chopped reggfiddle roots
In a cauldron mix hummingbird feathers together with chopped reggfiddle roots. Leave to warm. When your mixture is a nice shade of blue add the frog bones and bat's eyes. Drink 1 cup full a hour before you want results and while scalding hot, do not worry, this will not harm or burn you. To make a person return to the ground, add ruddle stones or grithy stones to the mixture.

VOICE POTION
It makes your voice higher or lower or disappear.
1) 1 cup of polick juice
2) 5 cups of yellow ferrath fins
Mix the above ingredients in a cauldron. Leave to cool. Add gikkly leaves for a high pitch voice, redigish roots for a low pitched voice and a pinch of callaburny for no voice at all. Drink while luke warm. Results wil turn out within the hour.

SECRET POTION
To make someone tell their inner most secrets.
1) 4 pinches of rats spleen
2) 8 wings from the ploiken bird
3) 2 teaspoons of pixie dust
Mix the above ingredients together and drink quickly. Who knows what will be revealed!

SLEEPING POTION
To make a person fall into a deep sleep.
1) 6 cups of cadrule powder
2) 1 crushed sickooroom root
Mix the cadrule powder in with the crushed roots of a sickooroom tree. Stir until a bright silvery liquid. Drink immedietly and you should fall right away into deep sleep.
