Here are some of the creatures found without the world. This book talks about what some of these creatures are and how to defend against them.

BOGGARTS - A boggart is a transforming creature. Nobody knows what it looks like in it's starting stage. It's starting is when it is not transformed. A boggart doesn't transform into just anything, it transforms into something that it thinks can scare you.

HOW TO STOP A DEMENTOR - To stop a Dementor it takes a lot of practicing doing this spell and concentration. First, you need to think of a really happy thought and say "Excecto Patronum" while concentrating on that happy thought. Then, a silver light will shoot out of your wand, and if it is strong enough the Dementor go away.

Hinkypunks hop ahead of people, making them follow the light, and sometimes they point out directions to you. But really they lure them into bogs and sometimes they get stuck in there.
HOW TO STOP A HINKYPUNK: To make sure you don't get stuck in a bog, all you simply must do is ignore the directions or don't follow a hinkypunk.

KAPPA - Is a Japanese water demon that is said to look like a monkey with fish scales instead of fur, it has a hollow in the top of its head in which it carries water. The Kappa also feeds on human blood but may be persuaded not to harm a person if it is thrown a cucumber with that person's name carved into it.
HOW TO STOP A KAPPA: A few ways to stop a Kappa from harming you is that you could throw it a cucumber with your name carved into it (which was said above). Another way is to trick the Kappa into bowing. If it does so, the water in the hollow of its head will run out, and loose all of it's strength.
