CHAPTER 1
Transfiguration is the most commonly known form of magic. You always see magicians in Muggle movies turning something into something else. This book will help you along in your journey through transfiguration.

*

CHAPTER 2
Usually only things that are similar in shape, size and color are easiest to transfigure. For instance, it would be easier to transfigure a computer into a box than a computer into a drum. On the other hand it would be easier to turn a drum into bowl, than into a computer or box.

*

CHAPTER 3
Mathcing things of the same personality is a slightly harder field of transfiguration. For instance, you wouldn't want to turn a snake into a bird, because they're personalities oppose, and who knows what you'd end up with! A snake is more sneaky and quiet, while a bird is happy and loud. A snake would be better turned into a fish, and a bird into a puppy.

*

CHAPTER 4:
When actually transfiguring, look for ways to change the animal or thing. Such as, if it is an antenna, and you are making a pencil, change the color and texture.
*

CHAPTER 5:
Matching personalities comes up again in the field of Animagus. It takes many years of hard works to become an Animagus, but it is well rewarded. However if your animal doesn't match your personality, it doesn't work very well. Hagrid, as an example, would be better suited as a bear than a parakeet.
